Bouri oil terminal is located approximately 50nm off the Libyan coast, about 150 km north-west of Tripoli, in western Libya. The el-Bouri oilfield, the largest in Libya with an output around 60,000 bbl/d, was discovered in 1976   and is located on Block NC 41-B, a 37,700 sq km tract in the Libyan sector of the Gulf of Gabes. El-Bouri is Libya’s first offshore field, with an estimated reserve two billion barrels of crude oil, and also large volumes of associated natural gas. FSU ” Sloug ” is moored to the SPM structure by an articulated bracket, water depth approximately 161m.
