The el-Bouri oilfield, the largest in Libya with an output around 60,000 bbl\/d, was discovered in 1976 \u00a0 and is located on Block NC 41-B, a 37,700 sq km tract in the Libyan sector of the Gulf of Gabes. El-Bouri is Libya&#8217;s first offshore field, with an estimated reserve two billion barrels of crude oil, and also large volumes of associated natural gas.
